Our biggest and boldest Talktober yet saw many across the nation `pass the mic’ for men’s mental health
A message from our CEO and Founder Tony Rabah.
Dear friends,
What a month. What a movement!
As Talktober draws to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on what has been our biggest and most impactful Talktober yet.
This year, we’ve seen incredible energy and compassion from people across Australia — conversations started, connections made, and lives changed. The message was simple yet powerful: talking saves lives.
To our incredible ambassadors — Kevin Sheedy, Matthew Richardson, Tim Mannah and Andrew Conway FIPA — thank you for your passion, leadership and commitment to driving awareness for men’s mental health.
A sincere thank you also to our valued corporate partners — Institute of Public Accountants, BGL Corporate Solutions, BDO in Australia, Lending Association, Shaw and Partners Financial Services and Astera Accountants — for standing beside us and amplifying our message across workplaces and communities.
And to our tireless and hard-working team, who worked day and night to make Talktober such a success — thank you. Your dedication made every conversation possible.
Finally, to everyone who supported the cause — who passed the mic, reached out to a mate, shared our message or donated — we couldn’t have done it without you 💙🩵
While Talktober may be over, the conversation doesn’t stop here. You can still make a donation (https://lnkd.in/gEDU__U6) to help fund our vital 1800 MYBUDDY Programmes, which continue to play a critical role in supporting men doing it tough across our communities.
And stay tuned — we’ll soon be drawing the lucky recipients of our incredible Talktober Blitz Ambassador experiences! A special thank you to everyone who got involved and helped spread the word in workplaces, clubs and communities right across Australia.
Together, we’re changing lives — one conversation at a time.
Talking is so important.
Yours sincerely
Tony Rabah
